Evolution of Sunspots, 03-08 April 2025

Observations by Steve McElvanney and Neil Morley show the evolution of sunspots (or active regions, ARs) on the solar disk over the period 03-08 April 2025. AR numbers have been added to each image on appearance of the relevant feature. Equipment used was as follows:

• 03 & 06 April: Steve McElvanney. Altair Starwave 80ED refractor and ZWO ASI 462MM camera. Image processed with Autostakkert 3, ImPPG and Affinity Photo.
• 07 April: Neil Morley. Seestar S50 "smart" telescope in solar mode.
• 08 April: Steve McElvanney. Seestar S50 "smart" telescope in solar mode. Image processed with Autostakkert 3, ImPPG and Affinity Photo.
