Sunspots, 21 January 1988

The sketch below shows two groups of sunspots in the southern hemisphere of the Sun on 21 January 1988. The larger group lies between approximately 25° and 35° south, and the smaller, consisting of only three small sunspots, between approximately 45° and 50° south.

Observations made in Fitzwilliam Close, Ipswich. Seeing good. Little wind. Sketch of back-projection with 5.3 cm refractor. Observations 12:00 - 12:15 UT.
