Solar Partial Eclipse, 30 May 1984

For once the weather was on our side allowing the whole eclipse to be seen! It began at 6.14pm and ended at 8.00pm with maximum coverage of the sun at 7.09pm. David Barnard and Alan Smith observed the eclipse at Orwell Park Observatory along with several friends and a photographer from the East Anglian Daily Times. Photographs appeared in the local press the following day.
