Founders Of OASI
The earliest years of OASI, 1967-72, are shrouded in the mists of history. The oldest surviving written record of the Society is the first edition of the Newsletter, dating from February 1972, edited by Charles Radley. Seven months later, the Newsletter contained a membership list which included details of astronomical equipment possessed by members and identified those holding committee posts and those who were founders. The list is reproduced below.
